Victorian members of the Australian National Choral Association (ANCA) and RSCM Australia formed the Australian Choral Conductors Education and Training (ACCET) to address the need for ongoing conductor training.
The committee has provided successful Summer Schools since 1992 and Spring Schools since 1999. This website adds to the service ACCET provides to all choral conductors.
Faye Dumont

Faye Dumont is conductor of The Melbourne Chamber Choir and The Melbourne Womens' Choir, both of which offer an annual concert series; and of the RMIT University Concert Choir. She was a chorus leader for the 800 voice Victoria Victoria, for the 1500 voice Australia Australia ensemble and chorus leader for the Melbourne Symphony Classical Spectacular 2000. She is currently Director of Choral Studies at RMIT University, conducting the RMIT University Concert Choir and providing undergraduates and graduate choral education.
Faye taught in Victorian state secondary schools before taking appointments at Latrobe University, Melbourne College of Advanced Education and the Australian Catholic University. She is currently Director of Choral Studies at RMIT University, also undergraduate choral studies and graduate choral conducting.
She was founding President of the Australian Choral Association and served a term as President of its successor, the Australian National Choral Association. She has been the Convenor of ACCET since its inception. Faye is often a guest conductor, workshop leader, conducting teacher, voice specialist and adjudicator across Australia and New Zealand. She has written two handbooks on choral conducting, is a regular contributor to choral and education journals and has written and arranged music for treble and mixed choirs.
Judith McKnight

Judith's early career in music involved piano teaching and church choir commitments, whilst raising a young family of three.
Her dedication to choral singing intensified over time, and she became conductor, organist and band leader in her local Uniting Church. She composed many compositions, including psalm arrangements and carols, and a costumed liturgical drama for choir and instruments, for this church community.
Being motivated by a strong commitment to the ministry of music, she served for many years on the committees of the UCA Synod of Victoria Committee on Church Music, RSCM Australia, Melbourne Praise Inc.,and on the ACCET Committee since its inception.
Judith was responsible for the forming and conducting of a madrigal choir at ACU (Ascot Vale Campus); she formed and conducted the Uniting Church Synod choir, and was choral director of some major services of celebration for the Church community.
At present Judith sings at St Francis' Church in Melbourne, and works to promote high standards of music in worship, and to provide educational opportunities to achieve this end.
Anne Credlin

Anne Credlin is the Musical Director of the Australian Welsh Male Choir which is based in Frankston, Victoria. Prior to taking up this appointment she was actively involved in community choral music for some fourteen years, having conducted the Yarra Valley Singers, the Latrobe Chorale (Gippsland) and briefly, the Yallourn Madrigal Singers.
Anne has recently retired after a long and rewarding career as a teacher of Music in Victorian government secondary colleges, in which she also held a variety of school leadership and administrative positions. After ceasing full-time teaching in order to work with the Choir she served as a part-time music specialist in a primary school for a further four years. In addition to the Welsh Male Choir, she is also the Musical Director of the Cranbourne Chorale - a large, mixed voice choir in the City of Casey. She is a member of the examining panel in Piano and Voice for ANZCA (Australian and New Zealand Cultural Arts), and is currently working to complete her doctoral thesis at Swinburne University, in the Department of Social Sciences.
