Fred Sjöberg

Inspiring, energetic, passionate, fun ...
Fred Sjöberg was a professional tenor with the Eric Ericson Chamber Choir, and trained in choral and orchestral conducting – works performed include Beethoven 9th Symphony, Brahms Alto Rhapsody, Mendelssohn Elijah, Fanshaw African Sanctus – and he has premiered many contemporary works. He is the first to conduct all 3 of the World Youth Choir, World Chamber Choir and European Youth Choir and he is currently Principal Conductor of the French National Youth Choir. His ensembles have toured Belgium, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Spain and the USA and he has been conductor, workshop leader and adjudicator internationally.
From 1997-2004 he was MD and Conductor for the Tones for Millions choral project across Sweden; in 2000 was awarded Conductor of the Year in Sweden; from 2000-2004 was MD of the Swedish Choral Centre and is currently MD of the Swedish International Choral Centre in Orebro.
He is a Council member of the World Choral Games, Vice-President of Europa Cantat and Vice President of the International Federation on Choral Music.    

Faye Dumont

Faye has conducted the Melbourne Chamber Choir and the Melbourne Women’s Choir since their inauguration, has been a conductor/lecturer at Melbourne, Latrobe, Australian Catholic and RMIT universities, and is currently conductor of the concert, women’s and men’s choirs at the School of Music, Monash University.
She founded the Choral@Montsalvat, Voices of Women and Sing Christmas festivals in Melbourne, was Artistic Director of the first Melbourne International Choral Festival and a preparing conductor of the 800-strong Victoria-Victoria choir and the 1500-strong Australia-Australia choir. She was founding President of the Australian Choral Association and served one term as President of the (following) Australian National Choral Association. She is Convenor of Australian Choral Conductors Education and Training. She has been a guest conductor, workshop leader and adjudicator throughout Australia and New Zealand.
Faye studied at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, where she was privileged to work with Rodney Eichenberger.
