2012 ACCET Piano Accompanists Summer School Overview

The focus this year is on accompanying Romantic music – instrumental and lieder; and, in this150th birthday year, the music of Claude Debussy; so Romantic style and an introduction to Impressionism and Debussy’s accompanied vocal and instrumental works.
You will have opportunity to learn from experts in lectures and master classes.
You will be involved in several group tutorials in which you will refine your accompanying skills under the guidance of expert musicians. You will rehearse with provided vocal and instrumental soloists.
In formal and informal sessions you will share knowledge with like-minded musicians
